Sacred Buffalo Drum Making Class

Join us for a day of drum making, community and stories of the buffalo teachings! Guest teacher Miguel Medina will lead students in the process of creating their own frame drum from scratch, providing all the facilitation and material needed to walk away with a finished handcrafted drum. 

Materials Provided:
15″ hoop, buffalo raw hide, materials for beater, hammers, hole punch, scissors, etc.  

What to Bring:

• Sack Lunch & Snacks to share

• Box of thumb tacks

• If you have sharp scissors (leather or culinary) please bring those- there are a limited amount provided to be shared. 

Miguel Medina is a world renowned flute maker, and crafts person. While sharing the knowledge of how to build a drum with honor and respect, he will share songs and teachings about the plants, animals, and how to use this drum as a sacred tool. This is a beautiful opportunity to come into alignment with your drum and the community.
